Welcome to the first edition of email marketing tips on May 28, 2008!
Yes, that's the 1 st edition of Email Marketing Tips my brand new blog carnival. I want to fill a void that I feel exists on blogcarnival.com nowadays.
This carnival is to become a useful resource for readers interested in email marketing. Everything else is of secondary interest to me. Sorry for everyone who doesn't agree with me, but I don't see blog carnivals as mere SEO tool that is used to dump your article to as many blogs as possible. (I know some folks will call me names, because of that)
I believe blog readers will appreciate this focus on quality instead of quantity. Let's see, if I am a dreamer or not. Today I am featuring blog articles about
- List Building,
- Copywriting, and
- Tools for email marketing

AWeber.com (AWeber Communications, Inc.) is one of the most recommended service providers for email marketing.
For three reasons:
- They are devoted to maintain one of the highest email deliverability rates of more than 99% in the industry. That makes sure your messages have the best chance to pass spam filters and block lists on their way to your subscribers inbox.
- Essential email marketing features are included without hidden fees.
E.g. Newsletter broadcasting, signup forms, autoresponders, sign up per email, HTML templates, 24/7 easy to use admin interface, unsubscribe and bounce management, various reports, and … - Very competitive and affordable rates.
19.95 $ a month for unlimited email campaigns
with up to 10,000 subscribers.
Well, that one has become history.
Now, AWeber confronts potential buyers with 69.00 $ a month for the same service (unlimited email campaigns for up to 10,000 subscribers).
At first glance that looks like a price increase of a whopping +246 %.
But let me step back for a second and look at this in detail.
(Conclusion: AWeber is still a bargain!)

A quick post with some humor and some copywriting lesson for you. I did not plan this, but when I read Monday's issue of Clayton Makespeace's Total Package™, I got a smile on my face and immediately thought I want to share this with you?
Here's the humorous story, first. It's even more humorous, if you consider it's a so-called true story.
Wait — that reminds me of an old joke. Actually, it’s supposed to be a true story of a radio exchange that took place in October 1995 off the coast of Newfoundland between the American aircraft carrier Abraham Lincoln and Canadian authorities: Americans: “Please divert your course 15 degrees to the north to avoid a collision.”
Canadians: “Recommend you divert YOUR course 15 degrees to the south to avoid collision.”
Americans: “This is the captain of a U.S. Navy ship. I say again, divert your course!”
Canadians: “No, I say again, you divert YOUR course.”
Americans: “This is the aircraft carrier USS Lincoln, the second-largest aircraft carrier in the Atlantic Fleet. We are accompanied by three destroyers, three cruisers and numerous support vessels.
I DEMAND that you change your course 15 degrees north, or countermeasures will be undertaken to ensure the safety of this ship.”
Canadians: “This is a lighthouse. Your call.” See what arrogance gets you? You wind up on the rocks; that's where scotch belongs. For a copywriter, not so much.

Kind of funny, isn't it.
Now, if you want to learn about copywriting, read the whole issue. I'd summarize it as follows:
- Good copywriters must not be arrogant - A discussion that comes with the joke.
- A very good first sample draft of a financial type of sales letter opening.
- A long checklist of why this sample sings.
- A conclusion

You certainly will remember my Tit For Tat Fake Carnival Editions. I have decided to discontinue them altogether for a very simple reason. Lack of value!
It's nice to say Thank You to a carnival editor, who uses your post, but as the quality of many carnivals sucks lately, it did not really provide much additional value to my readers. I guess I have written and complained enough about that.
Time for a change!
I don't claim that I will change the world, but I have spotted a potential info hole in the blogcarnival universe. Tons of carnivals feature articles about personal development, the business mindset, web technology, make lots of money quickly, customer service, etc. But what about …
Email marketing Tips?
There's no particular carnival devoted to this topic. I shall say, there was…
Probably I have spent too much time on the beach this weekend, but I simply decided to create one. Here it is. My…

Chances are, that you already have heard about one of the latest, and greatest
“Stompernet Going Natural Videos 3.0”
Since I don't blog much lately anyway, I quickly tell you what this is all about, give you the links and let you find out yourself.
If you are serious about making money on the Internet, you definitely don't want to miss this info. It does not cost you a dime.
Why do the guys from Stompernet give away such priceless info?
Why do they spend time and energy making all those videos? Well, Andy Jenkins from Stompernet is very honest about it. They are doing it to prove the tremendous value someone finds inside the Stompernet network. Why? Because they will accept new members into Stompernet shortly and reopen their doors. I am sure it will fill up pretty quickly. Even though, as you probably know, the membership fee in Stompernet is not cheap.
Anyway, you don't have to purchase anything. Just use their info for your advantage and it will be alright. So far there are 3 videos on the site.
